I heard about LJ from secret messages I spotted in my spam. I call them secret because I had to highlight them in order to read them. Anyways, some of the secret messages mentioned livejournal.com. I joined LJ to investigate these secret messages. Many months passed by, and the spam eventually ceased.
Sometime later, I met someone at
Slime Knights that uses LJ, and he asked me to be his LJ friend. So now, I read his blog, and I try to get more use out of LJ than as a database of spam messages.
